Crinan Kilt Pin. I have not been able to find information on the Crinan Sword. Crinan is a small village harbor on the West Coast of Scotland, near Argyll where battles were fought between Scottish Jacobites and the English. This polished kilt pin is made by the skilled craftsmen at Art Pewter in Fine English Pewter (94% pure first-run tin and a 6% alloy consisting of pure copper and antimony for added strength and durability). Each finished piece is plated with Palladium for additional protection during everyday use. It will not tarnish, is non-allergenic, and is easily cleaned with warm soapy water (unless you prefer to let it age naturally into an antique finish) It measures approximately .50″ x 2.50″ and has been popularly used as a kilt pin, tie pin, lapel pin and brooch.
Art Pewter is a family owned company founded in a suburb of Glasgow in 1968. It has become the worlds largest producer of high quality Highland regalia accessories and authentic reproductions of Clan artifacts. The family has remained committed to providing a sense of purpose and pride of accomplishment into the lives of disabled ex-servicemen in its hiring practice and to the revival of ancient Celtic artwork of timeless beauty of Scottish silversmiths. Only Fine English Pewter of the highest standards as set forth by the Guild in BSEN611-1 and British Standard 5140 is used, ensuring lasting beauty for everyday use for an heirloom of tomorrow.
