It includes the period between 1930 and 1954, from the dark days of the Depression; the storm clouds gathering across Europe, to when the last rationing restrictions were finally lifted. All of these events are captured on original postage stamps issued by the Royal Mint at the time, and authentic original coins celebrating the Coronation of King George VI to 1945, marking the end of the Second World War. The coins featured are from the reigns of King George V, King George VI, Queen Elizabeth II, and include such favourites as the brass threepence (the first twelve sided coin), the farthing (1/4th of a penny) and the half-crown. Pre-decimal coins and stamps were issued by the Royal Mint.

Coins and rare uncirculated stamps in collection were issued during the year commemorating important events that took place during World War II.

The appropriate coins and stamps are placed next to the descriptions of the selected events.

This extensive collection of authentic pre-decimal coins and uncirculated postage stamps by the Royal Mint was assembled in celebration of the end of WWII and the return to peaceful endeavors. All coins and stamps are appropriately placed aside text describing special events from 1937 to 1945.

Uncirculated stamps include: Edward VIII and Queen Elizabeth (Queen Mother), Winston Churchill, Lancaster Bombers used on Dam Buster raids in 1943, a stamp commemorating D-Day on June 6, 1944, a stamp showing British and French soldiers celebrating the end of the war, and a stamp commemorating the 50th anniversary of the United Nations.

Coins include a Farthing from 1942, Half-penny from 1945, Penny issued in 1944, during the reign of George V and another from the reign of George VI,  a Brass Three-pence coin from 1943, a Florin from the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, and a Half-crown from the reign of King George VI. This collector quality collection of original pre-decimal coins will come to you in a beautiful Luxury Wood Frame.

When we exhaust our inventory of these beautiful coin collections, they will no longer be available as these collections are no longer being produced. The uncirculated stamps included in this collection have become nearly impossible to find.
