This collection of five pre-decimal coins honors Edinburgh Castle. It consists of  a Farthing ( 1/4th of a penny issued from 1672-1956),  Halfpenny (1672-1967),
Penny (1797-1967). Threepence (1937-1967) and the Sixpence (1551-1967). All coins are authentic and attractively presented in a standard mehogany frame to assure continued increase in value and pride of ownership.

DETAILS: This collection includes:

Farthing (1/4th of a penny.)

Halfpenny ( “Haypknee.”)

Penny (1797-1967). Known as a “pence” There are twelve pennies  to a shilling and one hundred  to a British Pound Sterling.

Threepence (1937-1967) Known as a “thrupence” or “thrupknee bit”

Sixpence  (1551-1967). Two sixpence coins = one shilling.  Also known as a “tanner.”
