Quaichs (pronounced “quicks”) have been the traditional toasting cups since the 18th century. The first cups were made of wood, but sterling silver and pewter quaichs were later introduced and remain popular today. They are used to greet guests, celebrate special holidays, events such as engagements, weddings, births, baptisms, promotions, or any excuse you can think of to enjoy a dram of single malt or brandy with your friends.
