Triquetra Pendant

Triquetra Pendant

Prior to the Celts converting to Christianity, this symbol was known as the Triquetra Knot honoring the Sun God and Moon Goddess. After converting to Christianity the same design was renamed the Trinity Knot honoring the Father, Sone and Holy Spirit.  With this in mind, this pendant predated the date of conversion in the 5th century.

The center point of the Triquetra represents the mind, body and soul. The smaller Triquetra Knots located within the two arms and stem, give the forces of nature, Earth, Sea and sky. The combined knots give the wearer of this pendant both the strengths of life and the and the force of nature.
